The infrastructure manager: ensuring security, interoperability, and continuity of public service.

RATP Infrastructures business unit (BU) is responsible for managing the metro and RER infrastructures of the existing network in the Île-de-France region, as well as those of the Grand Paris Express network. In this context, its mission is to ensure the maintenance of security, interoperability, and continuity of public service, and to manage the control, regulation, and security systems of the railway networks in Île-de-France. Additionally, it must ensure equal access for different operators to the network.

The infrastructures include the tracks, stations, tunnels, signaling, train movement systems, and electrical power distribution. In this regard, the RATP Group carries out maintenance work on these installations as well as renovation, modernization, and extension work on the existing network, as part of the Grand Paris Express project.
